• The Butterfly Rainforest
  Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville. The Butterfly Rainforest is the world’s second largest collection of live butterflies – from 55 to 65 species at any given time, from as far away as Australia and Africa. • Catawba Science Center
  Hickory, NC - between now and September 15, 2002. Walk in to the Flutter-By, a 1000 square foot shade cloth green house full of butterfly nectar and larval food plants and a recirculating creek. Each week, we will receive 90 new chrysalids and will have up to 35 different species throughout the summer. The Flutter-By is a USDA permitted facility.
